Catchliner is an AI receptionist that businesses use to answer their customers' calls, website chats, and social messages. This policy covers two kinds of people: the business owners who sign up for Catchliner ("account holders"), and the people who contact one of our account holders' AI assistants ("visitors" or "leads") — for example, someone chatting with a plumber's website widget or calling a salon's AI phone line.
From account holders: name, email, business details (industry, services, hours, address), and billing information, which is handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers.
From visitors/leads: whatever is shared during a conversation with an account holder's AI — typically a name, phone number, email, and the content of the conversation itself (chat messages, call transcripts, or social media messages), plus what they're asking about or booking.
From signup and our sales chat: when you enter your website or social media address during signup, we read the public page to learn about your business and show you what we found. If you ask for a report, we also process your email address and your consent. If you chat with Catchliner's own assistant (website, email, phone, or messaging), we keep the conversation and any contact details you share.
Automatically: basic technical data like page visits and referral source on an account holder's website widget, used only to help that business understand where a lead came from.
To operate the AI assistant (answering questions, booking appointments, capturing leads), to automatically follow up with a lead who hasn't converted (email, text, or a phone call), to notify the relevant business owner about new activity, and to give that business owner a dashboard showing their own conversations, leads, and appointments.
We also use conversations with Catchliner's own assistant, and (for account holders who switch it on) an opt-in daily AI review of their own conversations, to spot questions the AI couldn't answer and to improve replies. If you request a website check report, we email it to you and may send up to two follow-up tips, each with an unsubscribe link.
A visitor's information is only ever visible to the specific business they contacted — account holders cannot see each other's data.
We rely on the following processors to run Catchliner. Each only receives the data it needs to perform its specific job:
We do not sell personal data to anyone. Data is shared only with the processors listed above, as needed to provide the service, and with the specific account holder a visitor contacted.
We keep account and conversation data for as long as an account is active. If an account holder closes their account, or a visitor asks us to delete their information, we'll remove it within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons.
Transcripts of conversations with Catchliner's own sales assistant are deleted automatically after 90 days.
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing us at the address below. If you're a lead who no longer wants to be contacted by a specific business's follow-up messages, every email includes an unsubscribe link and every text can be stopped by replying STOP.
Data is encrypted in transit, access to each account holder's data is restricted at the database level so businesses can never see each other's information, and we limit which parts of our own team can access customer data to what's needed to operate the service.
Catchliner is intended for business use and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
